PART ONE: THE SCIENCE AND ART OF BREASTFEEDING is an introduction to the process of human lactation and to its clinical management, from pre-conception through a child’s first year of life. Part One contains four modules:

  • Anatomy and Physiology of Lactation
  • Breastfeeding Management

PART TWO: PUTTING IT ALL INTO PRACTICE identifies the specific roles that health professionals can play at different points along the perinatal continuum to motivate and support breastfeeding. Part Two contains five modules:

  • Labor and Delivery
  • Mother and Baby Care
  • Postpartum Follow-up
  • Pediatrics/Well Baby Care

Continuing Education
