Recently, Administrator Karen Mills of the Small Business Administration (SBA) presented Vida with a Tibbetts Award in Washington, D.C. The Tibbetts Awards honor outstanding small businesses and individuals who participate in the SBA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.
Eighteen small businesses and six individuals were honored by SBA for the critical role they play in research and development and for their success in driving innovation and creating new jobs. The presentations were made at the White House, with Todd Park, Chief Technology Officer of the United States, serving as keynote speaker.
According to Vida President and Principal Investigator, Lisa McElaney who accepted the Tibbetts award, “We hope to represent the best of the SBIR initiative as we continue to build a business devoted to closing the gaps in our nation’s public health through knowledge transfer and demonstration of best practices.”
