  • Does Vida accept sponsorships or advertising in its products or on its websites?

    Yes, but with qualifications. Health care providers and public health educators trust our programs to be free from bias. We have worked most successfully with sponsors and advertisers when their messages pose no apparent conflicts that would contradict or detract from our educational messages or company mission. If you have a sponsorship or advertising idea that you believe fits with Vida’s mission we would love to speak with you about it.

  • Do I need a Classroom license or a Home Use license?

    If you intend to show this program to other people outside of your home or use it in the course of carrying out your job, you must purchase the Classroom license. The Classroom license includes performance rights that allow for the program to be used in educational settings. These include both group classes as well as settings where the program will be shown repeatedly to individuals including in-home visits. Typically, this is the license used by educators, hospitals, libraries, non-profit and government organizations. Our standard Classroom license is for single screen public performance (i.e. one television set). Licenses for closed circuit systems, broadcast, cable, satellite, distance learning and digital reproduction can be purchased for additional consideration.

    The Home Edition license only allows personal use of the program in the home. Any other use is strictly prohibited and is considered a violation of U.S. and international copyright laws. Note that Vida does not sell home licensed products except as bulk orders specifically for patient giveaway programs.

  • How do I get continuing education credits for Vida programs?

    Vida’s online courses and video programs for professional development often offer opportunities for continuing education credits. Online courses will provide a certification option upon successful completion of an assessment. For video programs, when available, continuing education options are detailed on the product page of this web site.

  • Can I return a program?

    Purchased DVDs may be returned to Vida within 30 days of purchase for a full refund less shipping charges. Please call us at (617) 864-4334 to request an RMA number. All returns must be shipped back to us by traceable carrier such as UPS or FEDEX. Customer will be responsible for return shipping charges except in instances due to error on Vida’s part.

  • Does Vida accept international orders?

    Yes, we are happy to ship orders internationally but additional shipping charges will apply, typically about USD $35. The customer is also responsible for all import tariffs and duties.

    Please note, WE DO NOT SHIP VIDEOS TO CANADA. Vida’s products are sold in Canada through an exclusive arrangement with Canadian Learning Company.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

    Credit Cards

    We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We also accept government purchase cards from all of these issuers.

    Purchase Orders

    We are happy to accept purchase orders from approved corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations. All POs must be faxed to (888) 806-0972 and include the following information: product code, quantity, preview or purchase, retail price, shipping costs, bill-to and ship-to addresses, contact name, phone and e-mail, and signature of purchasing agent. Vida’s standard terms are net 20.

    Checks

    Checks are accepted for purchases but not for previews. Please make checks payable to Vida Health Communications, Inc. and include the following information: product code, quantity, retail price, shipping costs, bill-to and ship-to addresses, contact name, phone and e-mail. Personal checks must clear prior to merchandise shipment.

    Bank Transfer

    For our international customers, please contact us for our bank account and wire information.

  • Can I return a damaged or defective disc?

    Yes. All Vida programs licensed for classroom use are guaranteed against damage and defect for the life of the program. Programs licensed for home use are guaranteed for one year from date of shipment. First contact us for a Return Authorization. For classroom license replacements you will need your program registration number found on the license insert in the DVD case. A $15 shipping and handling charge will be assessed. Damaged programs must be returned to Vida by traceable carrier such as FedEx or UPS. Vida will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Can I preview a program prior to purchasing it?

    Most of our programs are available for a risk-free 30-day preview within the United States. International orders are not eligible for preview but may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund less shipping charges. Preview options are listed below each program. Your preview period begins on the date you order the programs. To avoid charges, previews must be received back in Vida’s offices 30 days from this date. If you elect to keep your preview you will automatically be billed. If your preview is returned to Vida after your return deadline you may be charged a 5% restocking fee.

  • Are discounts available?

    We offer several discount schedules depending on program title and intended use or audience. We also offer significant discounts on bulk purchases for distribution to patients or staff. If you are purchasing 5 or more units of the same program please contact us for details.
